The Custom Builders Council of the Greater Houston Builders Association was proud to help in the renovation of Jacquelyn House, a 1500 square foot room that serves as a residence for homeless women recovering from addiction as well as a place where support groups Alcoholics Anonymous and Narcotics Anonymous meet and provides space for group counseling sessions and community get-togethers.
Jacquelyn House is part of Santa Maria Hostel.
The Custom Builders Council learned of the need for renovation at Jacquelyn House through HomeAid Houston, the non profit arm of the GHBA and one of the charities for which the proceeds of our Southern Living Custom Builder Program benefit.
Ted Cummins of Morning Star Builder currently serves as president of the Greater Houston Custom Builder Council and was thrilled to participate in the renovation of this much needed room in the Santa Maria Hostel.
