No matter your age it’s the season to let your inner ghost or goblin out and enjoy this spooktacular season. Halloween in Houston is an event everyone should experience at least once. There are so many things to do. If you want to be scared to near death, that’s possible. If you you’re looking for family friendly events – Houston has those too.
What follows is a list of just some of the great events taking place this Halloween in Houston.
Trader’s Village 14th Annual Boo Bash – October 27th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. Boo Bash 2013 will present continuous live musical entertainment and activities, and monster-sized Trick-or-Treating. Children aged 12 and under can Trick-or-Treat for candy at participating shops throughout the market, while supplies last, with their free Trick-or-Treat bag compliments of Traders Village and Harris County 911.
Ghostly Gardens at Moody Garden- October 27th. Creepy Crafts, face-painting and a costume contest for guests in the Garden Lobby. Visitors are encouraged to dress in costume and kids up to age 12 can enter the costume contest for a chance to win a prize. Families with a member in a Halloween costume will receive a special discount to Moody Gardens attractions.
Halloween ComicFest – October 26th and 27th at various comic book shops in the Houston metro area. Click on the link to learn more about this fun and geeky event as well as to locate your local participating comic shop.
Monsters’ Museum of Houston – From Oct. 12 to 31, we dare you to witness how monsters have rummaged, scoured, combed, and turned upside down the Museum to make room for their monster lairs. This hair-raising experience will allow you to “catch monsters” in the act, interact with their pals, observe and comprehend their behavior, participate in monster hobbies, and discover why monsters may be just simply misunderstood!
Zoo Boo at the Houston Zoo – October 12, 13, 19, 20, 26 and 27 from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Inviting all little ghouls and goblins to celebrate Halloween at the Houston Zoo with activities that are fun for the whole family. All kids are encouraged to come dressed in their spookiest or prettiest Halloween costume!
