The latest issues of the Houston Builder Magazine features a bathroom remodel by Morning Star Homes. We are proud to be featured in this magazine and humbled by the award of 2012 Design Excellence by Residential Design and Build for our bathroom remodel.
The goal was to build a spec home to showcase architectural details, universal design functionality and green building techniques to bring awareness and education to the local housing market. The result is a 4,995-sq.-ft. Tuscan-styled two-story home with four bedrooms on a half-acre lot in a gated community. Green features include spray-foam insulation and tankless water heaters. Universal design features include double-door roll-in shower with grab bars, and wide hallways. Other features include brick for interior finishes in the dining room, kitchen and great room, a barrel-vaulted ceiling with mosaic tile, and a spa-like feel in the master bath.
