Morning Star Builders celebrated the completion of what many consider their most impressive house to date on Thursday Sept. 29
at the newly built house in Hidden Falls, Cypress, Texas with a vendor appreciation celebration.

The event began with a ribbon-cutting and photos and was designed to thank everyone who made the project possible including Morning Star Builder’s staff, vendors and charities supported by Morning Star – HomeAid Houston and Be An Angel.

Among the vendors in attendance were Absolutely Outdoors, Pactiv Building Products, Forsyth Floors, Forefront Innovation, LoneStar HVAC, RT Tile, By Design Interiors, Ferguson, Lighting Inc., Thorntree, DWP Architects, Texas Treads and many others.

Forefront Innovation supplied the bulk of the electronic entertainment components including all of the audio-visual elements and a mounted Ipad in the living area, which controls the lighting, cameras, heating and cooling as well as audio-visual.

“We’ve done work with Ted in the past so when it came up it was ‘how to make the house energy efficient? How do we want to do lighting control?’ We did all the lighting control, climate control, all the audio video, all the speakers, the TV behind the sliding cabinet in the living room. Pretty much all the audio-visual components. It’s extremely fun working with Ted and Eric. They’re not against technology, they embrace it so that makes it an adventure,” said Forefront Innovation Operations Manager Zach Campbell.

People who supplied the other components were in attendance as well. Robert Barker of Texas Treads, the company that manufactured the wood used in the countertops and floors, was thrilled with how the house came together.

“What else is there to say? The house speaks for itself. It’s well done, tastefully done, great layout, not more house than a family could use. It’s very functional and it’s not too spread out. It feels livable. ” Barker said.

The home will be open for tours Oct. 20 – 23 on Thursday at noon – 8:00 p.m. and Friday through Sunday at noon – 6:00 p.m. Admission is $10 and will benefit HomeAid Houston. From November 3-20th the home will be open for the Holiday Tour with the house decorated for Christmas. The Holiday tour will benefit Be An Angel. Find out more at www.homesbymorningstar.com
