Smart home technology has become a driving force in the home building industry and Delta Faucets has stayed on top of it by designing innovative products. So, when we were given the chance to tour the Delta Faucets headquarters in Indianapolis, IN, we couldn’t say no! Our Chief Creative Officer, Ted Cummings, and our Certified Aging in Place Specialist, Yvonne Cummings, were excited to get an up-close look at everything Delta Faucets has to offer.
With nearly 50 years in the industry, Delta Faucets has become a leader in creating stylish products ranging from faucets to showerheads and everything in between. Their extensive knowledge and desire to create products that make homeowner’s lives easier has led to some pretty amazing innovations.
Throughout the tour, Ted and Yvonne were able to get a peek at Delta Faucets’ Research and Development team and learn more about the company and the exciting innovations they’re making. Ted and Yvonne were given the opportunity to speak with the designers and learn more about where they find the inspiration for their products and how the design process works. Finally, the tour concluded with a chance to explore the Delta Faucets showroom.
One of the most interesting parts of the tour was learning about the different technology Delta Faucets’ has created, especially their innovations in hands-free technology. A recent design combines their Touch2O® technology with Amazon’s Alexa, allowing users to control their faucets with just the sound of their voice. Commands include turning the water on and off, warming the water, and measuring the water. With technology like this, it comes as no surprise Delta Faucets was invited to collaborate on HGTV’s 2019 Dream Home!
