Southern Living Showcase Spotlight: Belgard Pavers
Next up, we’re talking pavers. A member of the GageCo Inc. teaanswered many questions regarding the Belgard Pavers used in our 2017 Southern Living Showcase home. You can view his answers below.
Also, at the bottom of the page, check out a video Jeremy recorded with the co-owner of Morning Star Builders, Ted Cummins.
1.What is your company and what do you do?
Gageco Inc. is North Houston’s leading hardscape and outdoor services contractor. We are family owned and operated and a trusted partner for many of our areas builders and homeowners.
We service residential and commercial projects of any size and our services include:
segmental retaining walls
land clearing and dirt work
2. What role did your company play in the completion of the SL Showcase home?
Gageco was honored to be a part of another Morningstar/Southern Living project. We were contracted to install the driveway and walkway pavers… Pavers really open up an array of design options, adds curb appeal and carries that customized feel Morningstar is so well known for.
3. Can you tell us a little bit about the product(s) used?
On this project we knew just the product we wanted to use right away! The feel of the home and the colors on the facade really lent themselves to a textured finish paver with clean lines in a gray tone: Belgard’s Catalina Slate in Leuders Gray. We laid the pavers without a border. We wanted seamless flow with the property and the surrounding natural beauty of Bluejack. We finished the pavers off by adding Techniseal’s Southern Grey polymeric sand to secure the joints. We will also come back in a month or so and do a cleaning and sealing treatment once the pavers are aged and ready for that.
4. How would you describe the SL Showcase home?
This is my favorite home we’ve been apart of to date! I love the clean white of the exterior against the backdrop of the golf course. Really a fantastic project and fun to be apart of.
5. What is your favorite part about the home?
I love so much about this home but the thing that really stands out to me are the built in bunk beds. The drawers in in the steps… just unreal! I want to be 10 again and have THAT room.
