With every new year come new trends. While we predicted some of these 2021 design trends, there are a few that weren’t even on our radar. And we have to admit: we’re impressed. If you’re looking to renovate or build a custom home this year, keep your eye on these trending designs!

Light Cabinets

Kitchen cabinets have sure seen their fair share of trends in the last couple decades. From dark walnut wood and clean white paint to… light, warm wood tones. This year, we’ve seen a lot of light-washed wood in the kitchen and it’s inly becoming more popular!

Contrasting Colors

We hope white kitchens will stick around for little longer and we think they will. But, kitchens with contrasting colors are certainly giving white kitchens a run for their money. Think: bold blue, dark charcoal, bright yellow, or deep red. These contrasting, loud colors are showing up more and more in 2021!

Hands-Free Faucets

Hands full of dirty dishes, meat juice, or splattered sauce? Don’t worry about! Your hands-free faucet will save the day. Seriously, the newest hands-free faucets are game-changers in the kitchen. Better yet, they’re often a pretty affordable (and convenient) upgrade!

The “Work Triangle”

For those who spend a lot of their days in the kitchen, the “work triangle” is a must. This work zone connects the sink, range, and refrigerator in a convenient and easy-to-access triangle shape. From sink to fridge to range, no problem. The more we see this kitchen layout, the more we’re convinced it’s here to stay!
