The holidays are behind us and the kids are back in school but there are still plenty of fun things to do in Houston this January. If you didn’t get a chance to visit the Woodlands Ice Rink it’s going on now through January 18th, so be sure to check it out. January is all about the expos and this month you can stroll the Houston International Boat Show, the Houston Gun Collectors Show and the Las Colinas Home Show!

The Woodlands Ice Rink in Town Center

Houston International Boat, Sport & Travel Show

The 15th Annual MLK Battle of The Bands Competition

Garrison Keillor

NPR veteran Garrison Keillor, of A Prairie Home Companion fame, is no holds barred for a rousing event featuring his trademark storytelling and candid, observational comedy — as well as his signature red shoes. The National Radio Hall of Fame inductee, who has been parodied on shows like SNL and The Simpsons, captivates audiences using his unique blend of humor, charisma and wisdom for this one-night only performance at Jones Hall. Note: The orchestra will not appear on this program. This is not a performance of A Prairie Home Companion. Mr. Keillor will not be performing music as part of this presentation.
