Over the years, our team at Morning Star Builders has designed plenty of kitchens for our clients. While they’re all beautiful, some elements stand out in our minds more than others. So, we thought we’d share three of our favorite kitchen designs we’ve done recently.

Multi-Functional Kitchens

Maximizing the space in your home is a must for most, but not everyone has the extra square footage to do so. The answer? Creating flexible spaces that can accommodate a variety of functions. In this kitchen, the beautiful dimensional island pulls triple duty by offering extra seating, storage, and counter space. More counter and storage space is created with a built-in desk, excellent for creating to-do lists, doing homework, or paying bills. Plus, we’re loving the finishing touches on this kitchen design like the stunning range hood and pendant lights!

Modern Farmhouse Details

There’s just something about a rustic farmhouse design that our inner Chip and Joanna Gaines can’t help but love. Exposed wooden beams on the arched ceiling not only make the kitchen feel more open but also draw the gaze upward. Adding a nice pop of color in an otherwise neutral kitchen is the oversized island finished in a lovely hue of blue chalk paint. The combination of the stone and wood fireplace with the rustic light fixtures ties the whole look together. One thing is for certain—this charming kitchen design does the modern farmhouse trend justice!

Kitchens with Super Pantries

We’ve been loving this trend so much we’ve started incorporating a variation of a super pantry into each of our new homes! A larger, more functional alternative to a traditional pantry, a super pantry has so much to offer! Serving as a pantry, butler’s pantry, catering kitchen, and linen closet keeps the kitchen free of clutter on the counters. Plus, they’re perfect for people who love to entertain! Meals and hor devours can be prepped, cooked, and baked inside the super pantry; then the mess can be hidden behind a closed door until you’re ready to clean up. What’s not to love?!
